AL Garvin has been singing and playing Gospel Music since he was 9 years old. Born June 8, 1972 in Brooklyn, New York, AL is the fourth child out of eight born of his father, the late Rev. Ardo Garvin and the late Mother Chesterbelle Garvin. AL became an avid guitar player at the age of 6 and by the time he turned 7 years old took interest in an old upright piano at his church. The Pastor, Mother Chrisalow anointed AL's little hands one afternoon as he sat and played the piano and spoke a prophetic word into his life that he would become a master at playing. And, his older sister’s (Vanessa) hands were also anointed and placed on his shoulders. AL never forgot how God used Pastor Chrisalow to draw out his many musical gifts and talents. And master many instruments, he did! By the age of 21, he was an accomplished pianist, keyboardist, guitarist and bass guitarist. AL started ministering across the country musically at the age of 9 years old with various groups such as The Philco Gospel singers, The Rhythmistics and in 1986 when he was just 14 years old he began a singing group, which featured the vocal and musical talents of his family called The Gospel Prevails Singers. Hailing from Hollis Queens, New York, AL eventually settled on Long Island in Amityville. In December 2005, the group revamped and emerged with a new, God-inspired name and renewed excellence called The Ministry of 2nd Chances, Which consist of S.W. Washington, Elijah Garvin, and Paulil Kitt S.W Washington is the group’s lead singer. Bro. Washington has been with AL Garvin for about 6 years. He is a great Lyrics and songwriter. Elijah Garvin is AL Garvin son. Elijah is now 18 years old. He plays the drums and also background vocals. Elijah is very anointed in producing music. With the three together, this makes up a unique sound for AL Garvin & the ministry of 2nd chances (M2C). We believe that your life will be greatly impacted by the soulful sounds of Bro. AL Garvin & The Ministry of 2nd Chances!! Paulil Kitt has join the group as the Sound technician. This is a very important to AL Garvin, is his sound. Being a Sound Tech is a very hard job. But Paulil is doing a great job. Paulil is 17years old, he enjoys his part in the Ministry. Born in Far Rockaway Queens, New York. This young man is heading for greatness in Jesus Christ. He is learning more and more about Our Lord and getting closer to him. |
